My Science Lessons: Penny Boat Challenge

Have you thought about approaches to applying physics concepts in design projects? There are many contexts to approach this such as the aerodynamics of flight, forces of building design, and buoyancy in boats.

One project that is easy to do resource-wise and connects to buoyancy and surface tension is the penny boat design challenge. Check out My Science Lessons blog which includes a demo video and background information on this fun, academic challenge.
